to the sewer system.
All excavations for building sewer installations shall be adequately
guarded with barricades and lights, so as to protect the public from

Any application to the Superintendent of Sewers, the Town Board
or its duly authorized agent for aid or assistance in connection with
a sewer problem, including slowdown or stoppage, shall only be made
after the property owner has, through his own duly licensed plumber,
found to the satisfaction of the Town Sewer Superintendent or Town
Board that the cause of difficulty does not exist in the lateral connecting
the house on the property with the sewer main located in the highway
right-of-way.
