Each telephone, telegraph, electric light and electric power pole located upon any public highway within the limits of the Village of Green Island, Albany County, New York, shall be marked by the owner or owners thereof with the name or initials of the owner or owners at a point at least three feet and not more than 10 feet from the ground, with distinct and legible letters or characters at least one inch long, either by painting, stenciling, printing or burning the same thereon to a depth of at least 1/64 inch.

It shall be the duty of the Commissioner of Public Works of the Village of Green Island, Albany County, New York, to remove or cause to be removed any and all poles which now are or may hereafter be set or maintained in violation of this chapter.

Any person who shall violate any provision or prohibition of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a fine not to exceed $250 or to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 15 days, or both.
