The rules regarding delinquent water and sewer accounts in the Village of Green Island are as follows:
A. 
An account shall be considered delinquent if the aggregate amount of arrears on water and sewer accounts together totals more than $250 or if there have been three continuous quarters of arrears in any amount on either the water or the sewer account.

B. 
The penalty for delinquency shall be a shutoff of water service after proper legal notification.
C. 
Action on delinquent accounts may be initiated by the Village at any time but shall be done routinely on a quarterly basis.
D. 
Any amount shall be considered delinquent if it has not been received by the Village within 30 days of the billing date.
E. 
Shutoffs will be performed within the legally prescribed time after notice is sent to the party responsible for the delinquent account by the Village Attorney.
F. 
After a shutoff notice has been issued, it will be canceled only if full payment of the delinquent amount is physically received by the Village prior to the scheduled shutoff date.
