Any person desiring a permit under this article shall make written application therefor to the Township Council, specifying the exact proposed location of such tank, the size and capacity thereof, the name of the owner of the abutting property and such other information as may be required by the Township Council.

No permit shall be granted under this article until there shall be paid a fee in an amount as set forth in Appendix III, Fees and Charges for Certain Township Services, of Chapter 2 of this Code. Such fee shall be in addition to any applicable Fire Subcode fees for fuel storage tanks.

No permit required by this article shall be issued by the Township Engineer until so directed by a resolution duly adopted by the Township Council.

The Township Council may refuse to grant any permit required by this article if it deems such refusal to be for the general welfare or public safety or convenience.

Every gasoline tank shall be installed in a manner satisfactory to the Township Engineer. In addition to the permit required by this article, no such tank shall be installed until a permit shall have been obtained from the Chief of the Fire Department under the provisions of Chapter 16, Fire Protection.
