The provisions of this Article shall apply except when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or official traffic control device.
As used in this Article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
PARK, PARKING or PARKED
The stopping of a motor vehicle, commercial vehicle or motorcycle upon any public highway and leaving such motor vehicle, commercial vehicle or motorcycle unattended by a person capable of operating it, for a period longer than necessary to load or unload passengers or freight.

Except as otherwise provided by this Article, all automobiles, cars or other vehicles shall be restricted and forbidden to park in the manner following:

It shall be the duty of the Superintendent of Highways of the town to place traffic signs in conspicuous places at or near the curbs of the various locations in accordance with the provisions of this Article indicating the special regulations applicable to such locations. Such signs shall be in accordance with the placed upon standards similar to the standards approved by the New York Traffic Commission's Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.

The following areas are designated for handicapped parking only and shall only be for motor vehicles bearing special identification parking permits or designation for handicapped persons:

Violations of this Article shall be punishable as set forth in the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

The left turning of vehicles is hereby prohibited as follows:
Vehicles proceeding north on Center Street (CR33) to proceed south to west on Holland-Glenwood Road.
Vehicles proceeding south south on Center Street (CR33) to proceed north to east on Holland-Glenwood Road.
Holland-Glenwood Road (CR240) is hereby designated for one-way traffic in a north to east direction from its intersection with Center Street (CR33) to a point 600 feet easterly therefrom.
Holland-Glenwood Road (CR240) is hereby designated for one-way traffic in a south to west direction from its intersection with Center Street (CR33) to a point 600 feet westerly therefrom.
The intersection of Holland-Glenwood T-connection and Holland-Glenwood Road is hereby designated as a stop intersection for westbound vehicles on Holland-Glenwood T-connection, and a STOP sign shall be erected on Holland-Glenwood T-connection on the north side for westbound traffic at its intersection with Holland-Glenwood Road.
The intersection of Holland-Glenwood T-connection and Holland-Glenwood Road is hereby designated as a stop intersection for eastbound vehicles on Holland-Glenwood T-connection, and a STOP sign shall be erected on Holland-Glenwood T-connection on the south side for eastbound traffic at its intersection with Holland-Glenwood Road.
Pavement markings (edge lines) in accordance with the standards and specifications established by the New York State Department of Transportation shall be applied on the one-way portions of Holland-Glenwood Road.
