The possession of and consumption from an open container of
any type of alcoholic beverage by any person on any street, alley,
lane, public thoroughfare, park or the Diamond "parklet" or in any
parking facility which is part of the off-street parking system of
Ligonier at any time be and the same is hereby prohibited and banned.

Any person who violates any provision of this chapter, upon
conviction thereof before a Magisterial District Judge having jurisdiction,
shall be sentenced to pay the costs of prosecution and to pay a fine
not exceeding $300. If the fine and costs are not paid, the person
convicted and fined shall be subject to imprisonment for a period
of not more than 30 days or subject to any other remedial action for
the enforcement of the payment of the fine and costs as set by the
Magisterial District Judge within the powers given to Magisterial
District Judges by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
