Wherever a space is marked off on any street for the parking of an individual vehicle, every vehicle parked there shall be parked wholly within the lines bounding that space, and it shall be a violation of this article for any person to park a vehicle or allow it to remain parked otherwise.
All parking in municipal parking lots shall be subject to the ordinances of the Borough of Ligonier governing motor vehicles and traffic, and all vehicles utilizing municipal parking lots shall be parked with the front end of the vehicle towards the meter.
No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XIV (§ 145-62), attached to and made a part of this chapter, except at the angle designated and only within the painted stall lines. On all streets or portions thereof where angle parking is now or shall hereafter be authorized, all vehicles parked thereon shall be parked with the front thereof nearest the curb.
A. 
Parking only on one side of streets and alleys.
(1) 
Parking shall be limited to the east side of all north-south streets and alleys and to the south side of all east-west streets and alleys within the Borough, except for any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XV (§ 145-63), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
(2) 
This subsection shall not repeal any special parking restrictions established by the other provisions of this article.
B. 
No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XVI (§ 145-64), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XVII (§ 145-65), attached to and made a part of this chapter, during the hours specified in said schedule, on any day except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
No person shall park a vehicle or allow the same to remain parked upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XVIII (§ 145-66), attached to and made a part of this chapter, between the hours specified, for longer than the time indicated in said schedule.
It shall be unlawful for any person to park any vehicle or to allow the same to remain parked in any special purpose parking zone established in Schedule XIX (§ 145-67), attached to and made a part of this chapter, except as specifically provided for such zone.

No person shall park a vehicle upon any two-way street except as follows: Every vehicle standing or parked upon a two-way street shall be positioned parallel to and with the right-hand wheels within 12 inches of the right-hand curb or, in the absence of a curb, as close as practicable to the right edge of the right-hand shoulder.

Except for persons parking vehicles lawfully bearing a handicapped or severely disabled veteran registration plate or displaying a handicapped or severely disabled veteran parking placard when such vehicles are being operated by or for the transportation of a handicapped person or a severely disabled veteran, no person shall park a vehicle on public or private property in a space reserved for a handicapped person or a severely disabled veteran, which property has been so posted in accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Motor Vehicles Regulations.

Except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or to protect the safety of any person or vehicle or in compliance with law of the directions of a police officer or official traffic-control device, no person shall:
A. 
Stop, stand or park a vehicle:
(1) 
On the roadway side of any vehicle stopped or parked at the edge or curb of a street except as provided in the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code.
(2) 
On a sidewalk except that a pedalcycle may be parked as provided in the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code.
(3) 
Within an intersection.
(4) 
On a crosswalk.
(5) 
At any place where official signs prohibit stopping.
B. 
Stand or park a vehicle:
(1) 
In front of a public or private driveway.
(2) 
Within 15 feet of a fire hydrant.
(3) 
Within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection.
(4) 
Within 30 feet upon the approach to any flashing signal, stop sign, yield sign or traffic-control signal located at the site of a roadway.
(5) 
At any place where official signs prohibit standing.
C. 
Park a vehicle:
(1) 
At any place where official signs prohibit parking.
(2) 
At any place where official signs indicate a tow-away zone.
