§ 148-1 Use on sidewalks prohibited.

No person shall operate, nor shall any owner permit to be operated, on the sidewalks of the Borough of Ligonier, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, any unlicensed motorcycle of the kind commonly called a "minibike" or "trailbike," or similar type, or any snowmobile or all-terrain vehicle or any other unlicensed motor vehicle.

§ 148-2 Use on lands without permission prohibited.

No person shall operate, nor shall any owner permit to be operated, on any public or private ground in the Borough of Ligonier, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, any unlicensed motorcycle of the kind commonly called "minibike" or "trailbike," or similar type, or any snowmobile or all-terrain vehicle or any other unlicensed motor vehicle, except when the permission of the owner of the land has been expressly obtained by such person.

§ 148-3 Owner liability.

Every owner of a motor vehicle of the type described in §§ 148-1 and 148-2 who shall knowingly permit any person, minor or adult, to operate such motor vehicle in violation of the terms of this chapter shall be jointly and severally liable with such person for any damages caused by such person in operating such vehicle.

§ 148-4 Violations and penalties.

Any person who shall violate the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction in a summary proceeding, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $600 and costs of prosecution or, in default of the payment thereof, shall undergo imprisonment for not more than 30 days.
