The Chief of Police is hereby authorized to furnish off-duty police officers to serve private or quasi-public functions upon written request received from such party and upon such party's agreement to pay the charges therefor as set forth in this article. The Chief of Police is further authorized in the case of emergencies to accept oral requests for such services.

A. 
The person or organization requesting the services of a member of the Township Police Department provided for in § 51-48 shall be charged and pay for such service. In the event that the person or organization requesting the service requires the utilization of a Police Department patrol car, there shall be an additional charge for each patrol car utilized. All sums received on account of such service shall be paid to the Chief Financial Officer of the Township and shall be used for reimbursement through the appropriate municipal account.
B. 
Rates charged.
(1) 
The person or organization requesting the service of a member of the Township Police Department provided for in § 51-48 shall be charged and pay for such service at the then current hourly rate established by the Township Manager, which rate shall be equal to the hourly rate set forth in the applicable contract between the Township and the Patrolmens' Benevolent Association (PBA), plus an administrative fee of $10 per hour.
(2) 
All sums received on account of such service shall be paid to the Chief Financial Officer and shall be used for reimbursement through the appropriate municipal account.
(3) 
The fee for the use of police vehicles shall take into account the Township's costs related to the operation of the vehicle and be fixed at $100 minimum for up to four hours and $15 per hour or part thereof for use of the vehicle after the first four hours.
The Fire Chief is hereby authorized to furnish off-duty firefighters or other fire department personnel when requested or required by private or quasi-public property owners or businesses for purposes of ensuring compliance with applicable fire codes, construction codes or other regulations.

The person or organization requesting or requiring the services of a member of the Township Fire Department pursuant to § 51-48 shall be charged and pay for such service. All sums received on account of such service shall be paid to the Chief Financial Officer of the Township and shall be used for reimbursement through the appropriate municipal account.
B. 
Rates charged.
(1) 
The person or organization requesting the service of a member of the Township Fire Department provided for in § 51-50 shall be charged and pay for such service at the then current hourly rate established by the Township Manager, which rate shall be equal to the hourly rate set forth in the applicable contract between the Township and the Firemen's Mutual Benevolent Association (FMBA), plus an administrative fee of $4 per hour.
(2) 
All sums received on account of such service shall be paid to the Chief Financial Officer and shall be used for reimbursement through the appropriate municipal account.
