Whenever three or more candidates file valid nomination papers for any elective City office, the Clerk shall provide for a spring primary election to choose two such candidates to be placed on the ballot at the regular spring election. Such primary shall be held on the third Tuesday in February in accordance with the provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes.
The registration of electors shall be required for all elections.

On all days on which an election is held, the polls shall be opened at 7:00 a.m. and closed at 8:00 p.m.

The City designates the City Clerk to establish the number of election inspectors for a given election and authorizes the City Clerk to reduce or increase the number of inspectors based on the type of election, the expected turnout and any other circumstances deemed appropriate to ensure adequate staffing at polling places. The City Clerk shall make such determination in a reasonable time prior to each election so that inspectors may be assigned.
