All public drinking fountains shall be of sanitary design and construction and shall be maintained in a clean and sanitary condition.
Water fountains and water coolers shall be so constructed that the ice or other refrigerant used for cooling cannot come into contact with the water.
Where water coolers or supply tanks used for drinking water are not directly connected to the source of supply, arrangements used for filling the containers must be such as to prevent contamination of the water.
A portable hose used for filling water containers shall be protected from dirt and contamination when not in use by storage in a tightly enclosed cabinet, shall have a cap to cover nozzles when not in use, and shall be provided with a metal disk at the nozzle to prevent contact of the nozzle with ground or floors.
Any person who violates the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to Chapter 6-103, Enforcement and Penalty, of these Codified Ordinances.
