The purpose of this Post-Construction Stormwater Management
Ordinance (the chapter) is to provide for the health, safety, and
general welfare of the citizens of the Town of South Berwick through
monitoring and enforcement of compliance with post-construction stormwater
management plans in order to comply with minimum control measure requirements
of the federal Clean Water Act, of federal regulations and of Maine's
Small Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) General Permit.
This chapter seeks to ensure that post-construction stormwater
management plans are followed and stormwater management facilities
are properly maintained and pose no threat to public safety.
