The Council of the Borough of Canonsburg, Washington County,
Pennsylvania, hereby signifies its desire and intention to organize
a Parking Authority in and for said Borough of Canonsburg under the
provisions of the Parking Authority Law of June 5, 1947, P.L. 458,
as amended.[1]

In pursuance of said desire and intention, the Articles of Incorporation
of said Authority are hereby approved and adopted by said Council
on behalf of said Borough of Canonsburg in the following form.[1]

The adoption of this article is deemed necessary for the benefit
and preservation of the public health, peace, comfort and general
welfare and will increase the prosperity of the people of the Borough
of Canonsburg and the Borough of Houston.
It is the joint desire and intention of the municipal authorities
of the Borough of Canonsburg and the Borough of Houston, both municipalities
of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and both situated in Washington
County, to organize an authority under the Municipality Authorities
Act of 1945, designated as Act No. 164, approved May 2, 1945,[1] together with all supplements thereof and amendments thereto,
for the purpose of exercising and enjoying all the powers of said
Act, its supplements or amendments.

The name of the proposed authority is the "Canonsburg-Houston
Joint Authority."
The proposed Articles of Incorporation of said Authority are
as follows.[1]

The following persons, respectively hereinafter designated as
appointees either of the Borough of Canonsburg or of the Borough of
Houston, are hereby appointed members of the Board of the Authority,
with the following terms of office: (here followed the names and terms
of the original officers).
Members of the Board of the Authority shall receive no compensation
for their services.
The Articles of Incorporation of said Authority are substantially in the form set forth in § 5-6 of this article and shall be executed on behalf of the Borough of Canonsburg by the President of the Council and the Mayor of Canonsburg and under its municipal seal, attested by the Secretary of said Borough, and on behalf of the Borough of Houston by the President of the Council and the Mayor of Houston and under its municipal seal, attested by the Secretary of said Borough, and such officers are hereby authorized, empowered and directed to do all things necessary and appropriate to effect and establish said Authority in conformity with the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, its supplements and amendments.[1]
