The storage of liquefied petroleum gas in portable containers awaiting use, resale or exchange within the Borough of Westwood shall be regulated as follows.
As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS, LPG or LP-GAS
Any material having a vapor pressure not exceeding that allowed for commercial propane that is composed predominantly of the following hydrocarbons, either by themselves or as mixtures: propane, propylene, butane (normal butane or isobutane), and butylenes; hereinafter generally referred to as "LPG."
The storage of LPG in portable containers shall be limited to the storage of a total amount not exceeding 100 pounds' water capacity, whether filled, partially filled or empty (not purged of LPG). It shall be unlawful to store LPG in any quantity in total greater than the aforesaid amounts on any lot within the Borough of Westwood for the aforesaid purposes.
In the storage and use, whether for sale or as an incident to a permitted use, of any LPG products, the installation and maintenance of such storage or use facilities and of allied equipment shall be in strict accordance with NFPA 58: Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code, 2004 Edition; NFPA 54: National Fuel Gas Code, 2006 Edition; New Jersey Uniform Fire Code; New Jersey Uniform Construction Code; International Fire Code, New Jersey Edition, 2006; International Building Code, New Jersey Edition, 2006; International Residential Code, New Jersey Edition, 2006; International Mechanical Code, New Jersey Edition, 2006; and International Fuel Gas Code, New Jersey Edition, 2006. Copies of said codes are on file in the office of the Building Department and will remain on file there for the use and examination of the public.

This article shall not apply to the use of LPG as defined in NFPA 58, Ch. 8, Engine Fuel Systems.
Any violation of the provisions of this article shall be punishable by a maximum fine of $5,000 per violation per day that the violation continues to exist.
