This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the "Parking
and Traffic Ordinance of the Borough of Westwood."
If any article, section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase
of this chapter is for any reason held to be unconstitutional or invalid,
such decision or decisions shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions of this chapter.
The provisions of Articles IV, V, VI, VII, and VIII of this chapter, imposing a time limit on parking, shall not relieve any person of the duty to observe other and more restrictive provisions prohibiting or limiting the stopping, standing or parking of vehicles as set forth in N.J.S.A. 39:4-138, or any other New Jersey statute, or as hereinafter provided.
This chapter shall take effect immediately upon final passage,
approval and publication as required by law.
All former parking and traffic ordinances of the Borough of
Westwood are hereby repealed, and all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict with or inconsistent with the provisions of this chapter
are hereby repealed, except that this repeal shall not affect or prevent
the prosecution or punishment of any person for any act done or committed
in violation of any ordinance hereby repealed prior to the taking
effect of this chapter.
