The Municipal Court of the City of Englewood, as heretofore constituted, is hereby continued.
The position of Judge of the Municipal Court, as heretofore created, is hereby continued.
The Judge of the Municipal Court shall be appointed by the Council for the term provided by law.
The position of Administrator of the Municipal Court, as heretofore created, is hereby continued.
A. 
The Administrator of the Municipal Court shall be in charge of the administrative management of the Municipal Court and shall supervise the activities of employees within the Office of the Administrator of the Court.
B. 
The Administrator of the Court shall report to and be responsible to the Judge of the Municipal Court.
The provisions of Chapter 23, Court, Municipal, of the City Code shall continue to be applicable to the Municipal Court.

A. 
There shall be a Public Defender who shall be appointed by the Council.
B. 
The function and duty of the Public Defender shall be to represent Municipal Court defendants who are without sufficient financial means to retain attorneys to represent them.
C. 
The Public Defender shall function pursuant to applicable laws, rules and directives governing the operations of municipal courts and the functions of municipal court public defenders in the State of New Jersey.
D. 
The term of office of the Public Defender shall be one year.
