No person shall ride, drive or lead any horse, team, cow or other animal (dogs excepted) upon any sidewalk, or draw, push or convey anything containing swill, rubbish, offal or other foul matter upon any sidewalk in said village.
No person shall slide upon any sidewalk on any sleigh, sled or other object or contrivance.
No person shall, by selling or advertising or displaying goods, wares or merchandise, occupy or obstruct a sidewalk or cause a crowd to congregate and obstruct the sidewalks in said village.
A. 
No owner or occupant of land or premises adjoining a sidewalk shall permit any snow, ice, dirt or other encumbrance or obstruction to remain upon such sidewalk longer than 24 hours after the same shall have accumulated thereon, but shall remove the same; but when because of the intensity of the cold, such ice and snow cannot be removed from such sidewalk, such owner or occupant shall cause said ice and snow to be strewed with sand, ashes or other materials so that such sidewalks will be thereby rendered safe to walk upon.
B. 
Upon failure of such owner or occupant to comply with this Article, the Village Board may cause such ice, snow or other materials to be removed and the expense thereof assessed against the adjoining land.
A. 
All sidewalks hereafter constructed or repaired, laid or relaid upon or along any of the streets, highways, alleys or public places or grounds in the village shall be so constructed, repaired, laid or relaid upon and according to the street and sidewalk grades to be adopted and specified by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Ravena.
B. 
The expense of the construction and repair of such sidewalks may be paid 1/2 by the village and 1/2 by the owner or occupant of the adjoining land, provided that the Board of Trustees may so determine and the Board of Trustees may cause such sidewalks to be constructed and repaired and assess upon the adjoining land the portion of the expense chargeable against the same.
C. 
All sidewalks shall be not less than four feet in width and shall be constructed of concrete, the specifications of which will be furnished by the Board of Trustees or the Village Forman.
D. 
All grading done or sidewalks laid or repaired by the owners of adjoining land shall be in accordance with the specifications and under the direction and supervision of the Board of Trustees. Assessments shall be made and collected and taxes levied as provided in the Village Law.
No person or persons shall construct any building with a stairway, piazza, stoop or cellarway projecting into any street or sidewalk except under permission and regulations of the Board of Trustees; and all owners or occupants of every building having a stairway, cellarway or area projecting into any sidewalk shall guard the same at all times with a good and sufficient cover, railing or barrier.
The owners of land fronting upon the streets of the village are required to keep the portion of the street between said land and the center of the street cleaned of rubbish or other accumulations thereon injurious to the use or appearance thereof.
All awnings shall at all times be maintained at a sufficient height to allow pedestrians to pass under same with or without umbrellas.
Any person committing an offense against any of the provisions of this Article shall be guilty of a violation and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable for each offense by a fine of not more than $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.

No person shall play ball or quoits or aid or assist in playing any games of ball or quoits, raise or fly any kite or throw snowballs, sticks or stones in or upon any street, public highway or sidewalk.
No person shall cut down any tree upon any street or public ground without first obtaining the consent of the Village Foreman.
No person shall girdle, bruise or otherwise willfully injure any shade or ornamental tree, fence, lamppost or pole in or upon the street, highway or public grounds or along or adjacent to any sidewalk or willfully injure or deface any bridge. sidewalk, post or railing upon or beside any street.
No person or corporation shall erect or cause to be erected any telegraph, telephone, trolley or electric light poles in or upon any street, alley, public ground or highway, or string, put up or operate any wire over or upon the streets, highways or public grounds or upon, over or in front of any building or buildings, without the consent of the Board of Trustees of the village.
No person shall permit snow or ice to accumulate upon any building adjacent to or so that said snow or ice projects over any street or sidewalk, nor permit snow, ice or water to fall from such buildings upon any street or sidewalk.
No person shall engage in coasting, riding or sliding upon any of the streets, highways or public places in the village except at such times and places as may be fixed by and under regulations adopted by the Board of Trustees.
No person, persons or corporation shall place or deposit or cause to be placed or deposited in or upon any street, lane, alley, highway or public place or grounds any garbage, offal, putrid meat, slops, filth, manure, dead animals or deleterious or offensive matter.
No person shall place or deposit any ashes or other rubbish in or upon any street, lane, alley, highway or public place or grounds except upon the public dump or for the purpose of removal, and in that case the same must be removed within 24 hours after it has been so placed.
No person shall cause, authorize or permit any horses, cattle, sheep, swine or other animals to run at large or be pastured in or upon the streets, highways, alleys or public grounds.
No person or corporation shall dig or cause to be dug into or through or across any street, highway, alley, sidewalk or public ground any trench, ditch or other opening for any purpose without the consent in writing of the Village Mayor and except under the supervision of the Village Foreman. All ditches or trenches or other openings shall at all times be carefully and properly guarded and be lighted at night.
No person shall in any way or manner obstruct, encumber or occupy, or aid or abet or consent to the obstruction, encumbrance or occupation of, any part of any street, lane, alley, sidewalk, public highway or ground, except so far as the same shall be necessary for the erection or repair of a building or for the grading or improvement of a lot, and only so long as shall be necessary therefor for the loading or unloading of wagons and vehicles and for the removal of their contents, provided always that a passageway shall at all times be kept clear for travelers and pedestrians and carefully guarded at all times during the night. No person shall otherwise store or keep any property in any street at night.
No person shall, by dragging through or along any of the highways, streets, public places or grounds any logs or other material or commodity, tear up, damage or injure any such highways, street, public place or grounds.
No persons shall suffer or permit his or her or their sleigh or other vehicle to stand or remain on any crosswalk longer than necessary to pass or cross the same.
No person shall suffer or permit his, her or their sleigh, wagon, automobile or other vehicle to stand or remain in front of any fire hydrant of said village.
No person or persons shall suspend or place any goods, wares or merchandise or other materials in front of his or their store, shop or house, or put up or maintain any sign or other device so as to occupy or project over any street or sidewalk, without the permission by resolution of the Board of Trustees.
No person, persons or corporation owning or occupying any house or other building shall cause, permit or suffer the water from any cellar, sink or cesspool, nor the filth from any privy or water closet connected with such house or building, to be discharged, thrown or run into any of the streets, highways or alleys of said village, on the surface or the open gutters thereof; nor shall such water or filth be conducted into or across any of the said streets or alleys or beneath the surface thereof except in such places and in such manner as shall be designated or permitted by the Board of Trustees.
No person or persons or corporation shall construct, build or maintain any bridge or driveway cross any of the street gutters or surface watercourses of the village in such manner as to obstruct or tend to obstruct the free passage of water through the said gutters.
No person shall open any trench for the purpose of making connection with village sewer or water main until the property owner shall obtain a written permit therefor from the Village Foreman, which permit shall be signed by the Mayor.[1]
