Fires and fire prevention — See Ch. 285.
The United Fire and Rescue District of the Towns of Baldwin, Eau Galle, Emerald, Erin Prairie, Hammond, Pleasant Valley, Rush River and Springfield and the Villages of Baldwin, Hammond, Wilson and Woodville is officially recognized as the entity which shall provide fire-fighting and fire-prevention services for the Village of Woodville.

Editor's Note: Throughout this chapter, references to the Joint Fire Protection District (JFPD) were amended to refer to the United Fire and Rescue District at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. II).
During the time the Village is a member of the United Fire and Rescue District, the Village shall appropriate funds pursuant to the formula set forth in the Joint Powers Agreement of the United Fire and Rescue District to fulfill its contractual obligations to the United Fire and Rescue District for funding the operations and long-term debt expenses of the United Fire and Rescue District.
Individual property owners within the Village receiving fire-fighting and fire-protection services may be charged a fee according to the schedule established by the United Fire and Rescue District for actual fire-fighting and fire-protection services provided to their individual property.[1]
