Unless another penalty is expressly provided for by the Vehicle
Code, Act of June 17, 1976, P.L. 162, Act No. 81, as amended (75 Pa.C.S.A.
§ 101 et seq., as amended), or except as otherwise specified
herein, every person who violates a provision of this chapter or any
amendment or supplement thereto shall be guilty of a summary offense
and, upon conviction before a Magisterial District Judge of appropriate
jurisdiction, shall be fined not less than $100 nor more than $300,
together with costs of prosecution, and in default of payment of said
fine and costs may be sentenced to imprisonment for a term not exceeding
90 days.
