The provisions of this article shall apply except when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or official traffic control device.

A. 
Wherever a space shall be marked off on a street for the parking of an individual vehicle, every vehicle there shall be parked within the lines bounding such space.
B. 
Except where angle parking is authorized, every vehicle stopped, standing or parked upon a highway where it shall be so stopped, standing or parked: parallel with the edge of the roadway, headed in the direction of lawful traffic.
C. 
Except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic, or when in compliance with law or the directions of a police officer or other traffic control device, no person shall:
(1) 
Stand or park a vehicle:
(a) 
On the roadway side of any vehicle stopped, standing or parked at the edge of streets;
(b) 
On a sidewalk;
(c) 
Within an intersection, except when permitted by official signs or parking meters on the side of the highway opposite a street which intersects but does not cross such highway;
(d) 
On a crosswalk;
(e) 
Between a safety zone and the adjacent curb or within 30 feet of points on the curb immediately opposite of a safety zone, unless a different distance is indicated by official signs, markings or parking meters;
(f) 
Alongside or opposite any street, excavation or obstruction when stopping, standing or parking would obstruct traffic;
(g) 
Upon any bridge or other elevated structure upon a highway or within a highway tunnel, unless indicated by official signs, markings or parking meters;
(h) 
On any railroad tracks;
(i) 
In the area between roadways of a divided highway, including cross-overs, except in emergencies; and
(j) 
On a public roadway in the Village without a valid motor vehicle inspection sticker displayed.
(2) 
Stand or park a vehicle, whether occupied or not, except momentarily to pick up or discharge a passenger or passengers:
(a) 
In front of a private or public driveway;
(b) 
Within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection, unless a different distance is indicated by official signs, markings or parking meters;
(c) 
Within 30 feet upon the approach to any flashing signal, stop or yield sign or traffic control signal located at the side of a roadway, unless a different distance is indicated by official signs, markings or parking meters;
(d) 
Within 20 feet of the driveway entrance to any fire station, and when on the side of the street opposite the entrance of any fire station within 75 feet of said entrance, when properly sign posted, unless a different distance is indicated by official signs, markings or parking meters; and
(e) 
Alongside or obstructing a curb area which has been cut lower or constructed so as to provide accessibility to the sidewalk.
(3) 
Park in front of a fire hydrant.
(a) 
No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, except when such vehicle is attended by a licensed operator or chauffeur who is seated in the front seat and who can immediately move such vehicle in case of emergency, unless a different distance is indicated by official signs, markings or parking meters; and
(b) 
No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, except when such vehicle is attended by a licensed operator or chauffeur who is seated in the front seat and who can immediately move such vehicle in case of emergency, when such vehicle impairs or hinders access of a fire vehicle to a fire hydrant while such fire vehicle is engaged in emergency operations, unless a different distance is indicated by official signs, markings or parking meters.
No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule X (§ 236-48), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stop a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XI (§ 236-49), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stand a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XII (§ 236-50), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle between the hours specified in Schedule XIII (§ 236-51) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule XIII, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stop a vehicle during the times specified in Schedule XIV (§ 236-52) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule XIV, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stand a vehicle during the times specified in Schedule XV (§ 236-53) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule XV, attached to and made a part of this chapter.

A. 
The parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited on all highways within the Village of Medina and in all public parking lots and areas in the Village of Medina between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. beginning November 15 and ending March 15 of each year, provided that, in the "business districts," as hereinafter defined, the parking of vehicles on all highways therein between such hours, during such period of each year, for a period not exceeding one hour shall be lawful, and further provided that the parking of their vehicles in the so-called Senior Citizen Center parking lot by Village officers and/or employees actually engaged in their official duties or in Village employment between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. during the proscribed period above-mentioned shall be unlawful if such vehicle shall display a Village employee permit issued for such purpose by the Board of Trustees. The business districts as used in this chapter shall be as set forth in Schedule XVI (§ 236-54).
B. 
The Board of Trustees shall prescribe a form of permit which may be issued to Village officers or employees whose official duties or hours of employment may require them to park their vehicle in the Senior Citizen Center parking lot between the hours of 3:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. during the period beginning November 15 and ending March 15 of each year. The Board may delegate the responsibility of issuing such permits to the Mayor or to another officer of the Village.
No person shall park a vehicle for longer than the time limit shown in Schedule XVII (§ 236-55) at any time between the hours listed in said Schedule XVII of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule XVII, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XVIII (§ 236-56) except at the angle designated and only within the painted stall lines. On all streets or portions thereof where angle parking is now or shall hereafter be authorized, all vehicles parked thereon shall be parked with the front thereof nearest the curb.
The locations described in Schedule XIX (§ 236-57), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as loading zones.
The locations described in Schedule XX (§ 236-58), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as taxi stands.

The parking of trucks, tractors, trailers or semitrailers with dimensions of greater than 25 feet in length or greater than seven feet in width, excluding mirrors, or greater than 10 feet in height, measured from the street surface, on all Village streets and highways within the Village of Medina is hereby prohibited.
