(a)
Each employee of the City, elected or appointed, is to be bonded
for a basic amount of $2,500, and the City Comptroller is authorized
to give to the City a blanket bond with a surety company duly authorized
to transact business in the state.
(b)
Exceptions to the basic amount of the bond are as follows:
(1)
Comptroller: $10,000.
(2)
Deputy Comptroller: $5,000.
(3)
Treasurer: $50,000.
(4)
Deputy Treasurer: $25,000.
(5)
Principal account clerk, office of Treasurer: $10,000.
(6)
Cashier, office of Treasurer: $10,000.
(7)
City Clerk: $5,000.
(8)
Commissioner of Public Works: $10,000.
(9)
Chief Clerk, City Court: $5,000.
(10)
Deputy Clerk, City Court: $5,000.
(11)
City Engineer: $5,000.
(12)
Auditorium manager: $5,000.
(13)
Commissioner of Codes Enforcement: $5,000.
(c)
The City Comptroller shall prepare and submit to the Board of Contract
and Supply for its approval the necessary specifications for a three-year
blanket bond covering all employees, elected or appointed.

When any appointments to City positions are made by any City
officer or department, the names, addresses, positions and salaries
of the appointees shall be forwarded to the Common Council.

(a)
Every City employee, department head and officer shall submit to
the Comptroller, with a voucher for reimbursement of expenses for
business conducted outside the City, a report setting forth the nature
of the business conducted outside the City, the place where the business
was conducted, the names of the persons present and the results, if
any.
(b)
If an employee, department head or City officer conducts business of the City outside the City but does not seek reimbursement for the expenses, the employee, department head or City officer shall submit a written report as described in Subsection (a) of this section to the City Clerk for filing.

Unless otherwise provided by applicable collective bargaining
agreement, the mileage rate for travel for City officials or employees
on official City business and representatives of the City traveling
in private vehicles outside the City limits shall be at the same rate
as established under the collective bargaining agreement applicable
to City hall employees, which shall cover the cost of gasoline, oil,
ordinary wear and tear and insurance of the private vehicles of the
City officials or City officers.
