[Code 1964, § 17-188]
The provisions of this division prohibiting the standing or
parking of a vehicle shall apply at all times or at those times specified

or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or official
traffic control device.
[Code 1964, § 17-189]
The provisions of this division imposing a time limit on parking
shall not relieve any person from the duty to observe other and more
restrictive provisions prohibiting or limiting the stopping, standing
or parking of vehicles in specified places or at specified times.
[Code 1964, § 17-190]
Whenever, by this division or any other ordinance of this City,
any parking time limit is imposed or parking is prohibited on designated
streets, the Commissioner of Public Safety shall erect appropriate
signs giving notice of the limit or prohibition, and no parking limitations
or prohibitions shall be effective unless the signs are erected and
in place at the time of any alleged offense.
[Code 1964, § 17-191]
When signs are erected giving notice, no person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets described in Section
2-16-360 of any day except a Sunday and public holiday.
[Code 1964, § 17-192]
When signs are erected in each block giving notice, no person shall park a vehicle between the hours specified in Section
2-16-361 of any day except a Sunday and public holiday within the district or upon any of the streets described in Section
2-16-361.
[Code 1964, § 17-193]
When signs are erected in each block giving notice, no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle between the hours specified in Section
2-16-375 of any day except a Sunday and public holiday within the district or upon any of the streets described in Section
2-16-375.
[Code 1964, § 17-194]
When a sign is erected in each block giving notice, no person shall park a vehicle for longer than specified on the sign at any time between the hours specified on the sign of any day except a Sunday and public holiday within the district or upon any streets described in Sections
2-16-363 through
2-16-367. Signs limiting parking without specified hours such as "sixty-minute parking" are construed to cover the sixty-minute parking-at-all-times restriction.
