The Town of Bethany does hereby vote in accordance with the
provisions of Section 37(f) of the 1931 Supplement to the General
Statutes[1] to fix the terms and method of rotation of members of
the Board of Education as follows:
A.Â
At the election to be held on the first Monday of October 1945, six
members shall be elected, three to take office on the date of their
election and serve until July 1, 1948, and three to take office on
the first Monday of October 1946, and serve until July 1, 1949.
B.Â
At the next biennial election to be held on the first Monday of May
1947, six members shall be elected, three to take office on the first
Monday of October 1947, and serve until July 1, 1950, and three to
take office on July 1, 1948, and serve until July 1, 1951.
C.Â
Thereafter, the members of the Board of Education shall be elected
to six-year terms commencing July 1 after their election and terminating
six years later on June 30, provided that the Board of Education be
a nine-member board.
