GENERAL REFERENCES
Zoning regulations — See Ch. 204.
There is hereby created the position of Zoning and Sanitary Inspector.
The Zoning and Sanitary Inspector shall have the following duties:
A. 
He shall report to the Planning and Zoning Commission all violations of the ordinance adopted by the Planning and Zoning Commission that may come to his attention.
B. 
He shall report to the Director of Health and the Board of Selectmen all violations of any sanitary regulation in force in the Town of Bethany that may come to his attention.
C. 
He shall conduct any and all inspections requested by the Planning and Zoning Commission or by the Director of Health in relation to applications for permits and shall have such authority to issue permits as may be delegated to him by the Planning and Zoning Commission or by the Director of Health.[2]

Said Zoning and Sanitary Inspector shall be appointed by the Board of Selectmen and shall receive payment on such basis as is specified by the Board of Selectmen and approved by the Board of Finance.
