Editor's Note: Pursuant to C.G.S. § 30-9 et seq., the Town of Bethany voted on 5-3-1971 to allow package store liquor permits, grocery store beer permits and restaurant beer permits and voted on 5-4-1981 to allow restaurant wine-and-beer-only permits.

Pursuant to C.G.S. § 30-91, as amended, the holders of restaurant permits, golf country club permits and club permits within the Town of Bethany shall be permitted to sell beer on Sundays between the hours of 12:00 noon and 9:00 p.m.

It shall be unlawful and a violation of this Article for any person who has not attained the lawful drinking age to be within the boundaries of any public property and to consume or have in his or her possession and/or control intoxicating liquors of any kind.
For the purposes of this Article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
PUBLIC PROPERTY
Includes all property under the jurisdiction of the Town of Bethany, any duly constituted board or agency of the Town of Bethany and any duly constituted regional board, agency, authority or public entity having possession and/or control of property within the limits of the Town of Bethany.
Any person violating the provisions of this Article shall be subject to a fine of not more than $100 for each such offense.
