There is hereby established the position of Code Enforcement Officer, which position shall be under the Department of Administration. The Borough Manager shall appoint the Code Enforcement Officer pursuant to Section 804 of the Borough Charter.
A. 
The Code Enforcement Officer shall have those duties and responsibilities hereinafter set forth and as further described in the specific provisions of this chapter and ordinances of the Borough, as the same may be amended from time to time.
(1) 
The duties and responsibilities of the Zoning Officer under the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code and Chapters 300, Subdivision and Land Development, and 420, Zoning, of this Code
(2) 
The duties and responsibilities of the Building Official under the Uniform Construction Code, as adopted in Chapter 144, Art. II;
(3) 
The duties and responsibilities of the Enforcement Officer under the Electrical Code, as adopted in Chapter 144, Art. II;
(4) 
The duties and responsibilities of the Building Inspector, as provided in Chapter 144, Art. I, and Chapter 132;
(5) 
The duties and responsibilities of the Code Official in floodplain management, as provided in Chapter 170;
(6) 
The duties and responsibilities of the Grading Director, as provided in Chapter 181;
(7) 
The duties and responsibilities of the Borough Secretary in the numbering of buildings, as provided in Chapter 128; and
(8) 
The duties and responsibilities of the Fire Official and Enforcement Officer of the BOCA Basic/National Fire Prevention Code, as adopted in Chapter 165.
B. 
The Code Enforcement Officer shall also enforce such other ordinances of the Borough and the county, and state statutes and regulations, relating to privately owned lands, buildings and structures within the Borough and to their construction, repair, use and maintenance, to the extent that such ordinances, statutes and regulations are enforceable by local municipalities.
The Code Enforcement Officer shall be entitled to such compensation and benefits, including reimbursement of expenses, as may be provided by Council from time to time with respect to the position and duties.
