GENERAL REFERENCES
Streets and sidewalks — See Ch. 266.
A. 
No person shall operate, or cause to be operated, any human-powered locomotion device on the streets, highways or other public areas designated for motor vehicle use within the Town of Newton. Such human-powered devices for locomotion shall include but not be limited to skates, skateboards, sleds, tricycles or scooters, etc., but shall not include bicycles or other properly equipped pedalcycles.
B. 
No person shall operate, or cause to be operated, any human-powered locomotion device or bicycles upon the sidewalks of the Town of Newton in a reckless or hazardous fashion, or in a manner creating interference with pedestrian traffic.
Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine not to exceed $50.
