Pursuant to the authorization contained in § 9-311(d) of the Tax-Property Article, Annotated Code of Maryland, Dorchester County may grant, by law, a tax credit against the County property tax imposed on real property that is owned by Habitat for Humanity of Talbot and Dorchester Counties, Inc.
A. 
Dorchester County grants a tax credit each year against the general County real property tax imposed on any real property that is:
(1) 
Owned by Habitat for Humanity of Talbot and Dorchester Counties, Inc. with the intention of relinquishing ownership in the immediate future;
(2) 
Used exclusively for the purpose of rehabilitation and transfer to a private owner; and
(3) 
Not occupied by administrative or warehouse buildings owned by Habitat for Humanity.
B. 
The Habitat for Humanity of Talbot and Dorchester Counties, Inc. shall submit an annual written report to the governing body of Dorchester County documenting:
(1) 
All of Habitat For Humanity of Talbot and Dorchester Counties, Inc.'s real property holdings in Dorchester County; and
(2) 
All transactions involving Habitat for Humanity of Talbot and Dorchester Counties, Inc.'s real property holdings in Dorchester County.
(3) 
That the property or properties qualify for the tax credit under § 144-53A.
C. 
The property tax credits herein granted shall be applicable to all taxable years beginning after June 30, 2009.
