[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the Township

The position of Planning Director is hereby created by the Commissioners
of the Township of Robinson.
The Planning Director shall be appointed by a majority of the
Commissioners of the Township. The position may be full-time or part-time,
in the discretion of the Commissioners of the Township. The Planning
Director shall serve at the pleasure of the Commissioners of the Township
and may be removed at any time by a majority vote of the Board of
Commissioners.
The Planning Director shall be chosen solely on the basis of
his/her executive and administrative abilities, education and planning
experience, with special reference to the duties of the office as
herein outlined. The Planning Director need not be a resident of the
Township of Robinson.
The salary of the Planning Director shall be fixed from time
to time by the Commissioners of the Township.
A.
The Planning Director shall be the chief administrative officer of
the Planning Department and shall be responsible to the Board of Commissioners
as a whole for the proper and efficient administration of the affairs
of the Planning Department.
B.
The duties and responsibilities of the Planning Director shall be
defined by a written job description and shall include, but not be
limited to, the following:
(1)
To monitor full compliance by developers in the posting of financial
security and reductions as required.
(2)
To maintain complete records on each development in Robinson Township.
(3)
To review projects for full compliance to Township ordinances and
the Municipal Planning Code.
(4)
To provide technical assistance to the developers and Planning Commission
in order to expedite development.
(5)
To report monthly (report) on planning activity to the Manager, who
will provide information to the Board of Commissioners, to include
bond summary log (status).
(6)
To recommend ordinance, zoning, fee changes to the Planning Commission
for its review and recommendation to the Board of Commissioners.
(7)
To formulate and administer an annual capital budget for the Planning
Department.
(8)
To conduct site visit projects to inspect compliance by the engineer
and developer.
(9)
To work with other departments and the Manager to formulate changes
in Township ordinances to meet the current needs of sound development.

To introduce new ideas that should be considered during these changing
times to protect the health, safety and welfare of the residents and
business community.
