1. A Nonuniformed Pension Committee is hereby created.
2. The Nonuniformed Pension Committee shall be composed of four persons
who are active participants in the Cranberry Township nonuniformed
employees pension plan. Three of the members of the Nonuniformed Pension
Committee shall be appointed by the Board. One of the members of the
Nonuniformed Pension Committee shall be appointed by a majority vote
of active members of the Cranberry Township Public Works Local 538
Bargaining Unit.
3. The above appointees shall be given designated terms. The terms of
the appointees by the Township shall be given terms of one year, two
years and three years respectively. The appointee of the Public Works
Local 538 Bargaining Unit shall be given a three-year term. Upon expiration
of the term of any appointee, the appointee shall continue in office
until reappointed or until the appointee is replaced and the term
of the replacement shall be three years from the expiration date of
the initial appointee's term of office. Each successive term
shall be three years for all appointees.
4. The Nonuniformed Pension Committee shall meet quarterly unless a
Nonuniformed Pension Committee meeting is cancelled or continued by
a vote of three members of the Nonuniformed Pension Committee. In
the fourth quarter of each year, the Nonuniformed Pension Committee
shall establish the quarterly meeting dates for the following year.
5. The purpose of the Nonuniformed Pension Committee shall be to provide
a forum for meetings and discussions between representatives of the
Township and the nonuniformed employees relative to pensions. In addition,
the Nonuniformed Pension Committee shall receive and review actuarial
reports and other relevant reports on the status and/or the condition
of the nonuniformed pension fund and other matters relevant to the
actuarial reports and reports on the status and condition of the nonuniformed
pension fund. The Committee shall organize and adopt such rules and
regulations as it may deem necessary for performance of its duties.
6. The Nonuniformed Pension Committee members shall each serve without
compensation for services. All reasonable expenses incident to operation
of the Nonuniformed Pension Committee shall be paid from the nonuniformed
employees pension fund to the extent permitted under applicable law
and not otherwise paid by the Township.
7. Any future matter concerning the Nonuniformed Employees Pension Committee
may be addressed by resolution of the Board.
