Township of Quinton, NJ Article IV Chief Financial Officer

[Adopted 3-1-1989 by Ord. No. 1989-2]

§ 34-5 Abolishment of Township Treasurer position.

The position specifically designated as "Township Treasurer" is hereby abolished.

§ 34-6 Statutory requirement.

The position specifically designated as "Chief Financial Officer" is necessary in Quinton Township to conform to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-140.1, so that general statutory duties relating to finance may be carried out in a manner which shall best serve in the interests of the Township.

§ 34-7 Creation of position.

The position of Chief Financial Officer is hereby created.

§ 34-8 Compensation.

The salary for said Chief Financial Officer shall be determined by and shall be paid in accordance with the appropriate provisions of the Quinton Township Salary Ordinance.[1]
