It is the policy of the Township of White that copies of audiotape
recordings of the meetings of the Township Committee, Planning Board
and Zoning Board of Adjustment be made available to the public upon
request pursuant to the requirements of this article and of the Right
to Know Law, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq.
Requests for copies of audiotape recordings shall be made in
writing on forms prescribed by the Township for requests for public
documents, and the obligations of the requestor and Township shall
be governed by the Right to Know Law, N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq.
Copies of audiotape recordings shall be made available to the
requestor upon the payment in advance of $5 per audiotape, and shall
be furnished no later than seven business days after receipt of the
written request in order to allow copying of the original audiotape
by the Township.
The original audiotape shall be retained in the municipal building
under the protective custody of the Municipal Clerk and secretary
of the appropriate land use board until such time as the tape(s) can
be disposed of according to state law, regulation or record-retention
directive.
Audiotape recordings of executive sessions of the Township Committee,
Planning Board and Zoning Board of Adjustment shall not be made available
to the public until such time as release is authorized by the Township
Attorney or appropriate land use board attorney in writing.
