A certain document, three copies of which are on file in the
office of the Licensing and Inspections Director of the Borough of
Pottstown, being marked and designated as the International Fuel Gas
Code, 2009 Edition, including Appendix A, B and C, as published by
the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the Fuel
Gas Code of the Borough of Pottstown, in the State of Pennsylvania,
regulating and governing fuel gas systems and gas-fire appliances
as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection
of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions,
penalties, conditions and terms of said Fuel Gas Code on file in the
office of the Borough of Pottstown are hereby referred to, adopted
and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this Part, with the
additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in
§ 1002 of this Part.

It is the intent of the Burgess and Town Council of the Borough
of Pottstown to adopt the International Fuel Gas Code, 2009 Edition.
However, as amended and modified by the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction
Code (Act 45), 34 Pennsylvania Code Part XIV, that most recent edition
of the Code, as adopted by the Act, shall become part of the Code
of Ordinances of the Borough of Pottstown without the need for the
adoption of any future amending ordinance.
