Copies of § 136 of the General Municipal Law ("the
statute") shall be maintained in the office of the Town Clerk, along
with application forms for distribution to applicants and potential
applicants for a license to operate a junkyard and business and a
certificate of approval for the location of a junkyard as described
in the statute.
The application and renewal fee for a junkyard license shall
be as set by resolution of the Town Board from time to time.
Owners of established junkyards existing as the date of this
chapter shall be mailed a notice by the Town Clerk advising of the
need to obtain a license in accordance with Subdivision 13 of the
statute and advising that application for such license is to be made
within 60 days.
All junkyard licenses shall be renewable annually on April 1,
in accordance with Subdivisions 9 and 13 of the statute.
