Borough of Towanda, PA Chapter 153 Floodplain Building Permits

§ 153-1 Adoption by reference.

There is hereby adopted by the Borough of Towanda, County of Bradford and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for the purposes therein contained, the above-titled ordinance in 30 pages,[1] based upon provisions suggested by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development to meet the minimum requirements of the National Flood Insurance Program and of the Pennsylvania Floodplain Management Act of 1978.[2] The suggested provisions have been modified to meet the specific needs of the Borough of Towanda and to fit in with the existing Code of the Borough of Towanda.

§ 153-2 Short title.

This chapter and the modified suggested provisions which it adopts by reference together shall be known as the "Towanda Floodplain Building Permit Ordinance."

§ 153-3 Copies on file.

Full copies of the modified suggested provisions as adopted by this chapter shall be available from the Borough Secretary of Towanda, whose office is located in the Municipal Building at 724 Main Street in Towanda Borough. At the request of any interested person and upon payment to the Borough of the costs of making copies of the modified suggested provisions, the Borough Secretary shall supply the same to any such interested person.
