It shall be unlawful for any person or business entity to have more than two garage or yard sales during the calendar year. Persons or business entities desiring to hold sales in excess of two per annum must receive a license for each additional sale from the Town Council. The fee for a person desiring to hold an additional garage or yard sale, should the license be issued by the Town Council, will be $25, and the fee for a business entity will be $50.

As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
GARAGE OR YARD SALE
The selling of personal property from a residence. Each sale day shall be deemed one sale for the purposes of this chapter.

Any resident of the Town who desires to exhibit for the purpose of sale not more than one motor vehicle at one time may attach to said motor vehicle a "for sale" sign affixed or displayed with reference to said vehicle, provided that said motor vehicle shall have been registered to a resident member of the premises where said exhibition for the sale occurs.
Violators of this chapter are subject to a fine, upon conviction, of $100 per offense.
