A.Â
For all residential structures containing five or more dwelling units,
private or public fire lanes for the efficient and effective operation
of fire apparatus shall be provided on all sides of every structure.
These fire lanes shall have a minimum width of 18 feet.
B.Â
Nothing in this article shall be construed as limiting the authority
or discretion of the fire official to impose additional requirements
pertaining to fire safety, maintenance and operation of fire lanes
or other requirements deemed to be necessary, within the discretion
of the fire official, to protect the health, safety and welfare of
the residents of the Township.
C.Â
The provisions of this article shall be enforced pursuant to the
Township Code of the Township of Saddle Brook, and these minimum requirements
shall be incorporated into all approved plans for development within
the Township and shall be a condition for the issuance of any certificates
of occupancy.
