of the 1975 Code)]
Any employee of the Borough of Edgewater who has reached the
age of 62 years or older, and who has been a member of the Volunteer
Fire Department or Volunteer First-Aid Squad for a minimum of 20 years
and 15 years of Borough employment shall be entitled to a credit of
one year for each five years of service as a volunteer for the purpose
of qualifying for coverage for health benefits and the payment thereof
by the Borough upon their retirement. The use of such credit shall
be limited to payment for health benefits and not for pension or any
other purpose.
