A. 
The lands contiguous to the westerly boundary line of the Borough of Edgewater for a maximum width of 325 feet from the north Borough line to the southerly Borough line as depicted on the Tax Map of the Borough of Edgewater shall, when acquired by gift, purchase, condemnation or otherwise by the Borough of Edgewater, be held in perpetuity by the Borough and dedicated as a natural park area to preserve and enhance the natural beauty of the Palisades and the adjacent wooded area.

B. 
Excluded from the provisions of Subsection A of this section shall be any land conveyed or leased by the Borough to the Housing Authority of the Borough of Edgewater for the construction of housing for senior citizens and the handicapped with funds provided in whole or in part from any grants received by the Department of Housing and Urban Development; provided, however, that such lands shall not lie closer than 150 feet from the top edge of the Palisades.
No use or activity, municipal or otherwise, shall be permitted in, on or of such lands which will require artificial recreational facilities or lend itself to the commercial exploitation of such lands, or will tend to endanger or prevent the preservation and development of the natural scenic attractiveness and the wildlife therein.

Violations of the provisions of this article shall be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, Article II, General Penalty.
