The Town Board has adopted a resolution pursuant to § 12,
Subdivision 1(a), of the Town Law to change the classification of
the Town of Elmira from a town of the Second Class to a town of the
First Class, which change of classification becomes effective January
1, 1958. The Office of Receiver of Taxes and Assessments is an elective
office unless changed pursuant to § 12, Paragraph 4(f),
of the Town Law.
The Office of Receiver of Taxes and Assessments shall be an
appointive office in the Town of Elmira under the change of classification,
becoming effective as above provided.
