The Chief Inspector and each of the duly appointed Inspectors of any inspection service company approved for by such use by any Township in Nassau or Suffolk County are hereby authorized and deputized on behalf of the Village of Farmingdale to make inspections of all electrical installations heretofore and hereafter described and to approve or disapprove the same. In no event, however, shall the cost or expense of such inspections and reinspections be a charge against the Village of Farmingdale.
It shall be the duty of the Inspector making inspections pursuant to this chapter to report in writing to the Superintendent of Buildings of the Village of Farmingdale all violations or deviations from, or omission of, the electrical provisions of this Building Code and of all local laws and ordinances and of the State Building Code applicable to construction within the Village of Farmingdale insofar as any of the same apply to electrical wiring. It shall be the duty of the Superintendent of Buildings of the Village of Farmingdale to enforce all provisions of this code. It shall be the duty of the Inspector to furnish written reports to the public officials of the Village of Farmingdale and to the owners and lessees of property where defective electrical installations and equipment are found upon inspection. He shall authorize the issuing of a certificate of compliance when electrical installations and equipment are in conformity with this chapter. He shall direct that a copy of the certificate of compliance be sent to the Village of Farmingdale to the attention of the Superintendent of Buildings.
