As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
BUILDING PERMIT
Any type of construction permit required to be issued pursuant to the state Uniform Construction Code Act, N.J.S.A. 52:27D-119 et seq., and the administrative regulations promulgated thereunder.
CONDOMINIUM
The form of ownership of real property under a master deed providing for ownership by one or more owners of units of improvement, together with an undivided interest in common elements appurtenant to each such unit.
COOPERATIVE
A housing corporation or association which entitles the holder of a share of membership interest thereof to possess and occupy for dwelling purposes a house, apartment or other structure, or land owned or leased by said corporation or association, or to lease or purchase a dwelling constructed or to be constructed by said corporation or association.
DEVELOPMENT PERMIT
Any approval by the appropriate land use agency for the Borough of Edgewater involving a subdivision site plan or variance.
Any application for a building or development permit in an existing condominium or cooperative association shall be accompanied by written approval from the board of directors of the condominium or cooperative association indicating approval by said board of the planned construction, which approval shall be addressed to the Borough. No building or development permit shall be issued by the Borough until evidence of such approval by the board of directors of the condominium or cooperative association is presented at the time application is made.
