The developer of a plaza, building complex or housing development in the City of Glens Falls shall not name a street, avenue, lane or plaza without written request to and written approval of the Glens Falls Common Council. Upon such approval, the Chairman of the Board of Assessors will assign the proper street numbers.

The owner or occupant of a dwelling or building in the City of Glens Falls shall not exhibit or permit to be exhibited on such dwelling or building any number other than the number assigned to said dwelling or building by the Chairman of the Board of Assessors of the City of Glens Falls.

The owner or occupant of a dwelling or building in the City of Glens Falls on which is exhibited a number other than that assigned to said premises by the City of Glens Falls shall, upon being directed by the Common Council, forthwith remove such number.
Any owner or occupant who, after notification by the Common Council, shall refuse or neglect to remove such number, shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a fine not to exceed $250 or imprisonment for a term not to exceed 15 days, or both, and a further fine not to exceed $250 for every 24 hours said neglect or refusal shall continue thereafter.
