There is hereby created a Planning Board for the Town of Bath,
to consist of seven members, appointed in accordance with § 271
et seq. of the Town Law, to serve for terms of seven years. Such Board
shall have all the powers and duties as described in the Town Law
and as further provided in this chapter.

Pursuant to Town Law § 267, as amended by Chapter
695 of the Laws of 1966, and for the purpose of providing for the
future growth and development of the town and affording adequate facilities
for the housing, transportation, distribution, comfort, convenience,
safety, health and welfare of the population of the Town of Bath,
the Town Planning Board of the Town of Bath shall recommend plats
showing lots, blocks or sites, with or without streets or highways,
and recommend conditionally preliminary plats within that part of
the Town of Bath which is outside the limits of any incorporated city
or village, and the Bath Town Board of the Town of Bath will consider
the recommendations of the Town Planning Board for approval for the
development of plats already filed in the office of the Clerk of the
County of Steuben relating to plats within the area of the Town of
Bath outside the limits of any incorporated city or village if such
plats are entirely or partially undeveloped.
