The intent of this chapter is to establish requirements in order
to fulfill the need for the services of electrical inspectors, as
required by the Building Code of the Village of Lake Grove.[1]
Inspections of electrical installations, including alterations
and repairs, shall be performed to insure conformity with the laws
and codes of the State of New York and the Village of Lake Grove.
Electrical inspectors shall:
A.
Be licensed by the County of Suffolk.
B.
Be on an approved list to perform electrical inspections in the Town
of Brookhaven and the Town of Smithtown.
C.
Provide proof of above to the Building Inspector of the Village of
Lake Grove.
D.
Have an insurance policy in such form as is deemed satisfactory to
the Village Attorney and for a face amount of not less than $10,000,000
and with the Village of Lake Grove named as the additional named insured.
E.
Pay the fee as set forth in the Fee Schedule of the Village of Lake
Grove.
