D.
Parking of trailers in public streets prohibited. No person shall
detach any trailer, semi-trailer or camper or similar apparatus from
its towing or carrying source and allow the same to remain in any
public street or highway.

E.
Parking for maximum of 72 hours. Except as otherwise provided herein,
the parking of permitted vehicles on public streets in the Town of
Elmira shall be for a maximum of 72 hours at any given time. Owners
must move vehicles to the other side of the street or to an off-street
area at least every 72 hours to help the Town remove snow, leaves
and other debris.

F.
Parking in Traffic District No. 1 from November through April. No
vehicle shall be or remain parked on streets within Traffic District
No. 1 between November 1 and April 1, except as follows:

G.
Penalties for offenses. Any person, firm or corporation who or which
violates any provision of this section shall, upon conviction, be
punished by a fine not to exceed $100.

A.
Word usage. The words and phrases used in this chapter shall, for
the purposes of this chapter, have the meanings respectively ascribed
to them by Article 1 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of
New York.
B.
School speed limits.
(1)
No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed in excess of 20 miles
per hour on West Water Street starting 250 feet west of the west boundary
of Hendy Avenue and ending 920 feet to the east of the west boundary
of Hendy Avenue. This school speed limit will be in effect from 7:00
a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on school days.
(2)
No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed in excess of 25 miles
per hour on West Church Street starting 85 feet east of the east boundary
of Durland Avenue and ending 805 feet to the west of the east boundary
of Durland Avenue. This school speed limit will be in effect from
7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on school days.

No person shall drive a vehicle at a speed in excess of 20 miles
per hour on Hendy Avenue between West Water Street and West Church
Street. This school speed limit will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to
6:00 p.m. on school days.

Unless otherwise specified in this chapter, the penalties for
violations of this chapter shall be those set forth in § 1800
of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York.
