The reduction of the amount of solid waste and conservation
of recyclable materials is an important public concern because of
the growing problem of solid waste disposal and its impact on the
environment. The collection of recyclable materials from residences
in the Township will serve the interest of the general public and
will result in a financial benefit to the residents and taxpayers
of the Township by reason of the income realized from the sale of
these recyclable materials. Collection regulations must be established
to implement the program, facilitate the accomplishment of its objectives
and to encourage the fullest possible citizen participation.
