The map prepared by the Wharton Borough Engineer, Ronald Piccolo of Hatch Mott MacDonald, entitled "Drug Free Zone Map," dated June 28, 2010, is hereby approved as an official finding and record of the location and boundaries of the area or areas on or within 1,000 feet of school property, as owned or leased to any elementary or secondary school or school board; and the map also depicts the area or areas on or within 500 feet of public parks and/or public buildings within the Borough of Wharton, within the definitions of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-7 and 2C:35-7.1.[1]
The original map shall be filed with the Wharton Borough Clerk and maintained as an official record of the Borough.
The school board, or the Chief Administrative Officer in the case of any private or parochial school, and the Borough Administrator for the public parks or public library, are hereby directed and shall have the continuing obligation to promptly notify the Borough Engineer and the Borough Attorney of any changes or contemplated changes in the location and boundaries of any property owned by or leased to any elementary or secondary school or school board for schooling use, or Borough public parks or public buildings.
