Any person placing any obstruction in front of or parking in
front of a fire hydrant, including plowing of snow, or opening the
same without permission of the Water Department, shall be subject
to the penalties for violation of this chapter.
Any person who shall maliciously or willfully destroy or injure
any of the works or property of the Water Department, or who shall
maliciously or willfully do any act which shall injuriously affect
or tend to affect the water of said Village, shall be adjudged a disorderly
person, and may be punished by a fine or imprisonment, or both fine
and imprisonment, in the discretion of the court, and shall also forfeit
and pay to the Village treble damages sustained by the Village, to
be recovered in any court having cognizance thereof, with costs.
The Water Department may install meters on any unmetered service,
and thereafter such service will be charged at applicable meter rates.
