[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Walden 3-13-1973 as Art. XII of Ch. VII of the Walden Village Code (Ch. 74 of the 1982 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
No person shall at any time discharge any firearms, air guns, spring guns or other instruments in which the propelling force is a spring or air, or any gun or any instrument or weapon in or upon which any loaded or blank cartridge may be used, or any fireworks or explosives within the corporate limits of the Village of Walden, New York, except as expressly provided and regulated; nor shall anyone string and shoot any bow and arrow or load and shoot any slingshot within the corporate limits of the Village of Walden, New York, except as expressly provided and regulated.
No person shall carry any loaded pistol, rifle, shotgun or other firearms upon any public street or in any public place within the corporate limits of the Village of Walden, New York, except as authorized by law, and no person shall engage in the hunting of wild animals or game within the corporate limits of the Village of Walden, New York.

Any person committing an offense against any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a violation under the Penal Law and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $250 or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both.
